Dr. Christopher Walker is an accomplished Cosmetic Surgeon practicing in Orlando, Florida, who has a patient-centric approach to medical treatment. His expertise and knowledge, span over two decades and has helped patients find relief through the application of innovative medical techniques and technology.
After receiving his medical degree from the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica, Dr. Walker went on to practice Gynecology until moving to the United States. Following this, he completed a year-long training in Family medicine at The University of Texas’ Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas.
Setting his sights on mastering a specialty he loves and respects, Dr. Walker completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where he was privileged to learn from Professor Kermit Krantz, a world-renowned Pelvic Reconstruction surgeon.
During his residency, Dr. Walker went on to achieve further specialization training in the field of Laparoscopic surgery. Through his active participation for two years as a resident in the Mid-West Laparoscopic Training Laboratory, he became an advocate of surgical procedures with minimally-invasive techniques.
Following his passion in the appreciation of art and beauty, Dr. Walker completed his training as a Cosmetic Surgeon in 2008 and became an Associate of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons. His achievement continued and subsequently achieved the honor of becoming a member of the International Society of Cosmetogynecology (ISCG), the American Society of Cosmetic Physicians, and an Associate Fellow of the American Society of Cosmetic Breast Surgery.
With the dawn of Regenerative Medicine, Dr. Walker has continued to nurture his knowledge and skill to ensure he remains current in the most innovative medical technologies available. Through his understanding of tissue engineering and molecular biology, Dr. Walker became a member of the American Academy of Regenerative Medicine and he is proud to offer the only FDA-approved procedure for Regenerative Medicine in Central Florida.
Dr. Walker currently serves as the Medical Director for Beja Body Med Spa and is fondly known as Dr. Downtown on Instagram. He has published papers in a variety of medical journals and earned several research awards.
In addition, Dr. Walker has been the recipient of a number of teaching awards—including the prestigious “Faculty of the Year” Award for Florida State University in 2008. Adding to his consummate medical career, Dr. Walker is also Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
